I am a BACP Registered, Internal Family Systems, Humanistic, Somatic trauma-informed, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, certified TRE practitioner, and trainer with fifteenyears of experience, working with many different issues life can throw at us.
Working with individuals, both face to face in Stevenage and online, in a way that places you, at the heart of the work. I offer skilled compassionate support to help you untangle and understand your internal process around what is happening for you. We might do this by exploring, different parts of you, their roles and the wounds they hold and help them to return to safety, connection and have more choice about how you manage and show up in the world. In this way we can help you re-evaluating and process feelings, beliefs, patterns of behaviour, thinking habits, and patterns in the body. I work in experiential, focussing and creative ways to support your journey towards greater understanding and healing.
You are welcome and seen for exactly and everything that you are, in the light and the shadow, without judgement in a confidential setting.
I work with many life issues, which can present as problems with self- esteem, shame, anxiety, depression, disconnection and meaninglessness, as well as trauma and PTSD.
I have a special interest in relational trauma (domestic abuse, sexual violence, childhood sexual abuse, early trauma and bonding issues), and traumatic bereavement. I am trained to work with and if appropriate, to process trauma memories.
I enjoy working creatively and include somatic experiencing and focussing to give a voice to experiences without words.
I am currently working online through zoom or on the telephone. When face to face working resumes, my therapy room is in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and I see clients from all over the County including, Hitchin, Welwyn, Knebworth, Walkern and Royston. I will also continue to see clients nationwide online.
Counselling and psychotherapy is a process, a journey if you like to support you to understand yourself in connected and embodied ways so you are able to move towards a way of being that can help you fully engage with life and all it brings.
During our first session, we will talk about how we will work together. Usually, we would meet each week, and review at timely intervals during the course of the therapy.
